Our verdict
Eightcap is an Australian broker with ASIC, FCA and CySEC licences that offers commission-free gold with low measured spreads and strong TradingView support. Indian clients are served by its Bahamas entity, and it is not on the RBI Alert List.
Eightcap was founded in 2009 in Melbourne and holds licences from ASIC, the FCA and CySEC, with offshore entities regulated in the Bahamas, Seychelles and Mauritius. Traders outside the UK, EU and Australia, including Indian residents, are served by Eightcap Global Limited under the Securities Commission of the Bahamas, which offers fewer protections than the Tier-1 entities. Eightcap's XAUUSD specification page lists a minimum gold spread of 1.2 pips ($0.12) on both Standard and Raw accounts with no commission on gold, and BrokerChooser measured about $0.14 in September 2026, well below the average it tracks. Gold trades as a 100-ounce CFD from 0.01 lots, with up to 1:500 leverage on the Seychelles entity and 1:20 for Tier-1 retail clients. Platforms include MT4, MT5, TradeLocker and a direct TradingView integration, which appeals to chart-focused traders. The minimum deposit is $100. Sources disagree on whether a swap-free account is available, so traders who need one should confirm directly. Eightcap does not appear on the RBI Alert List, though that is not an RBI authorisation. It suits TradingView users who want low, simple gold pricing.
